Teesas Education has successfully concluded the first cohort of its 2025 Summer School on August 8 and now welcomes the second group of learners, aged 8 to 18, for an immersive educational experience running from August 11 to 28. Holding at the Teesas Learning Centres in Lekki and Ikeja, the programme blends academics, technical training, and life skills development through dynamic, hands-on activities.
Learning That Connects Beyond the Classroom
At Teesas Summer School, education goes far beyond textbooks. The curriculum is designed to connect with children emotionally, making learning not only memorable but deeply engaging.
One standout moment from the first cohort was during an emotional intelligence class for 8- to 12-year-olds. When asked to express happiness through their favourite footballer, the classroom erupted with joy as students recreated Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic goal. It was a vivid reminder of how emotional connection can transform a lesson into a lasting memory.
Empowering Teens with Real-World Skills
For the 13- to 18-year-olds, presentation skills training was a highlight. Teens explored:
- The power of storytelling and emotional triggers to captivate audiences
- Purposeful body language, including eye contact, to build connection
- Time management techniques through consistent practice
Their curiosity was further sparked by introductory marketing sessions, which covered branding fundamentals and social media strategy, leading to lively discussions and creative exploration.
A Holistic Daily Experience
Each day begins with aerobic warm-ups to energise the body and mind. They also enjoy cinematic experiences that teach values like honesty and gratitude, and they get to participate in talent showcases and visit the Teesas studios, where they dive into video editing and animation.
Beyond the classroom, learners engage directly with Teesas team members across departments, gaining insights into human resource management, product development, marketing, sales, finance, and graphic design. These interactions offer a glimpse into real-world career paths and inspire future ambitions.
